Summary

CVE-1999-0353 is a vulnerability affecting HP's rpc.pcnfsd service. By manipulating the permissions on the main printer spool directory, an unauthenticated attacker can gain remote root access to the system. This weakness allows an attacker to bypass the authentication mechanism and assume full control over the affected HP server. The vulnerability was identified in 1999 and poses a significant risk to systems that have not been properly secured against unauthorized access.
