Summary

CVE-1999-0347 is a vulnerability affecting Internet Explorer 4.01. Malicious actors can exploit this issue by crafting a malicious "about:" Javascript URL containing a "%01" character. This causes Internet Explorer to use the domain specified after the character instead of the intended local file, resulting in unauthorized file reading and web page spoofing. Attackers can leverage this vulnerability to gain sensitive information or impersonate legitimate websites.
