Summary
CVE-1999-0273 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Solaris 2.5.1's telnet service. Maliciously crafted input, specifically the ^D character, if sent to the targeted system can cause the telnet daemon to crash, resulting in a denial-of-service condition.
