Summary
CVE-1999-0219 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Serv-U FTP version 2.5. This issue allows authenticated remote users to cause a denial of service by sending overly long Command Working Directory (CWD) or List (LS) commands. The buffer overflow in the FTP server software results in a crash, thereby disrupting the normal operation of the server. This vulnerability poses a significant risk for organizations using Serv-U FTP version 2.5, as it can be easily exploited to cause downtime or disruption of services.
