Summary
CVE-1999-0063 is a vulnerability affecting Cisco IOS 12.0 and older versions. Maliciously crafted UDP packets can be sent to the syslog port, resulting in a crash of the affected device. This issue poses a risk of Denial of Service attacks against critical network infrastructure. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending specific UDP packets to the target device's syslog port, causing it to crash and become unresponsive.
