Summary
CVE-1999-0053 denotes a denial-of-service (DoS) vulnerability affecting FreeBSD. An attacker can send TCP RST (Reset) packets to target systems, causing them to enter an infinite loop and become unresponsive. This issue can lead to a complete system crash or consume significant computational resources, resulting in a denial-of-service condition.
