Summary

CVE-1999-0031 is a vulnerability affecting Internet Explorer 3.x and 4.x, as well as Netscape 2.x, 3.x, and 4.x web browsers. This issue permits remote attackers to track users' web activities through JavaScript. In essence, an attacker can monitor a user's online actions, which was colloquially referred to as the "Bell Labs vulnerability." This vulnerability posed a significant threat to user privacy, allowing attackers to gain insight into sensitive information and online behavior.
