Summary
CVE-1999-0011 identifies Denial of Service vulnerabilities in older versions of BIND (Bounded Insertion Daemon), specifically BIND 4.9 and BIND 8 releases. These vulnerabilities can be exploited through maliciously crafted CNAME records and zone transfers. An attacker can manipulate the DNS (Domain Name System) resolution process, causing affected DNS servers to crash or become unresponsive, leading to service disruption.
