Recorded Future is Hiring: Master of Databases

August 6, 2010 • Chris

We are looking for a brilliant MySQL DBA with experience in high data volume, near real time applications.

We’d like to find someone with a proven track record (that doesn’t have to mean you’ve done the same job for 25 years! we believe more in smarts than years) in keeping a system up and running as data size grows, continuously tuning for performance, giving guidance to developers for maximum performance, etc.

Since we’re 100% hosted at Amazon, experience in running MySQL on Amazon EC2 would be great.

Programming skills in Java/Python/Rails highly desirable.

Today we run on MySQL mostly, but we expect to use a lot of (database) technologies in our infrastructure so the key is that you’re open minded and not stuck on one approach.

We would like to think of Recorded Future as a fun, high paced, exciting and challenging place to work. If you think you’d be a good fit for our team (or know someone who might be) then brush off that CV and head on over to our jobs section for more details or just send us an email: [email protected]
