Intelligence is powerful when the entire community works together, resulting in a force multiplier to combat adversarial activity.
This year we’re back in-person kicking off our series at the Historic Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C. Can’t join us in D.C? We’ll bring Predict to you in Singapore, London, and Tokyo.
Woodward is arguably most widely known for his coverage of President Richard Nixon’s Watergate scandal that he reported and wrote on with his co-reporter Carl Berstein. Their collective effort in the Watergate coverage has been considered one of the single greatest reporting efforts of all time by the journalism and reporting communities. Since then, Woodward has written and co-authored 18 best-selling books on American politics, 12 of which topped best-seller lists in their respective times.
Chris Krebs is a CBS News Contributor, as well as the founding partner of Krebs Stamos Group, and previously served as the first director of the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). As Director, Krebs oversaw CISA’s efforts to manage risk to the nation’s businesses and government agencies, bringing together partners to collectively defend against cyber and physical threats. At CISA, Krebs also pioneered the Rumor Control program, which was designed to counter disinformation campaigns.
Kiersten E. Todt is the Chief of Staff at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). As the Chief of Staff, she is responsible for the planning, allocation of resources, and development of long-range objectives in support of the department's goals and milestones; she provides strategic vision, guidance, and direction to ensure CISA's Director is prepared to interdict or respond to threats to the homeland.
Dr. Michael G. Vickers career as a special operator, CIA operations officer, national security policy maker and Intelligence Community leader spanned the last two decades of the Cold War through a decade and a half of our war with al-Qa’ida, its allies and its offshoots – service that saw unprecedented senior tenure across Republican and Democratic administrations.
Phil Reilly is a retired CIA senior Operations Officer with a decorated 29 year career. He also served in the US Army Special Forces prior to CIA. Among the many positions he held, Mr. Reilly served as the CIA’s senior paramilitary officer as Chief of Special Activities Division and was charged with conducting Presidentially directed activities.
Chris is a former senior, career Congressional staff member who over the course of more than 20 years on Capitol Hill advised senior policymakers on a range of national security, foreign policy, energy, and economic issues. From 2015 to 2021, Chris served as Staff Director of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, guiding the Committee’s critical oversight and budget authorization functions. He also played a key role in the Committee’s nearly four-year, bipartisan investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US Elections, helping guide the Committee’s staff and developing investigative strategies.
Niloofar Razi Howe
Niloofar Razi Howe has been an investor and executive. and entrepreneur in the technology industry for over 25 years, with a focus on cybersecurity for the past 15 years. Howe is a Sr. Operating Partner at Energy Impact Partners and is on the boards of directors of Pondurance (as Chair), Morgan Stanley Bank, NA, Recorded Future, Swimlane, and Board Advisor to RangeForce, Dragos, Picnic, and others.
John is the CISO at NOV Inc., responsible for cybersecurity in the enterprise and in products. John brings a wealth of expertise to NOV with over 25 years of experience in information security. Prior to NOV, he responded to some of the highly publicized cyber-attacks, including Moonlight Maze, Titan Rain, Night Dragon, TJX, and Operation Aurora. He holds a graduate degree in information security and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Jodie leads the Threat Intelligence team at Coinbase, a global crypto exchange, and has worked in the field of Security, Incident Response, Policy, and Threat Intelligence under the 911 Commission, at large tech companies, telecommunications providers and startups. She also has training as a firefighter/EMT and civilian combat medic (Fort Lewis) and uses that training in high intensity team cohesion, communication, skill-building to lead teams to think of their impact, focus on mission and always look for opportunities to excel in a united fashion across the entire organization. Her current focus is on leading a world class threat intelligence team that innovates and protects customers and industry partners across the crypto economy and Web3 environment.
Chris Hauser is the CISO at Amica Mutual Insurance where he has oversight of Amica’s incident response, threat intelligence, governance risk and compliance, and security engineering programs. Threat intelligence enhances Amica’s cybersecurity strategy and is integrated in its tactical defenses. In prior roles, Chris utilized threat intelligence to build a technical risk prevention program for cyber insurance underwriters and investigate cybercrime in Silicon Valley.
Dr. Christopher Ahlberg
Dr. Christopher Ahlberg is the CEO of Recorded Future, Inc. and Chairman of Hult International Business School. Dr. Ahlberg was named among the World's Top 100 Young Innovators by Technology Review, MIT's Magazine of Innovation in 2002. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.
Dina Temple-Raston is the host and executive producer of the Click Here podcast as well as a senior correspondent at The Record. She previously served on NPR’s Investigations team focusing on breaking news stories and national security, technology, and social justice, and hosted and created the award-winning Audible Podcast “What Were You Thinking”.
Adam Janofsky is editorial director of The Record. He previously was the cybersecurity and privacy reporter for Protocol, and prior to that covered cybersecurity, AI, and other emerging technology for The Wall Street Journal.
Craig leads the global product and engineering teams at Recorded Future, focused on delivering a single authoritative source for security intelligence to amplify the effectiveness of security and IT teams. He previously served as the senior vice president and general manager of security and performance at Akamai.
Levi Gundert is the Senior Vice President of Global Intelligence at Recorded Future, where he leads the continuous effort to measurably decrease operational risk for clients. Levi has spent the past 20 years in both the public and private sector, defending networks, arresting international criminals, and uncovering nation-state adversaries. He’s held senior information security leadership positions across technology and financial startups and enterprises.
Chris Ueland is a serial entrepreneur based in Orlando, Florida. He is the co-founder of SecurityTrails, a Data Security company focused on creating The Total Internet Inventory by analyzing and curating comprehensive domain and IP address data for users and applications that demand clarity. After its acquisition by RecordedFuture in late 2021, he became the product lead for Attack Surface solutions at RecordedFuture. Prior to SecurityTrails, in 2009 he also founded MaxCDN, one of the largest CDN networks, which was acquired by StackPath in 2014, and Globat.com, a web hosting company for small businesses, also acquired by Endurance International Group in 2009.
Jared Der-Yeghiayan, Insikt Group’s Director for Advanced Cybercrime and Engagements (ACE) team, brings to Recorded Future more than 17 years federal law enforcement experience along with the skills and knowledge of working deep undercover on the darknet. During his years of service, he led multiple global cyber investigations that led to the shut down of more than 8 darknet marketplaces that includes the original Silk Road and Silk Road 2.0. He now leads a team of highly-skilled and dedicated analysts who utilize unique tactics and techniques in order to elicit and extract valuable intelligence to supplement the areas in which machines lack.
Eric Gumbert is the manager of the Wells Fargo Cyber Threat Intelligence Team. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2019, Eric held various roles at another financial institution, working as the NCFTA liaison and merging physical security and cybersecurity intelligence. Eric spent ten years in the Marine Corps as an Arabic Linguist and Signals Intelligence analyst with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity.
Ray Richards joined Wells Fargo in 2020 as a member of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Team. Ray currently holds the position of Lead Technology Operations Analyst at Wells Fargo where he leads the CTI team's fraud intelligence support initiatives and external intelligence coordination activities. Ray has spent the last eight years in information security, holding various positions in tactical cyber threat intelligence, cyber-fraud fusion, and dark web intelligence. Ray served more than 8 years in the United States Marine Corps as an Arabic Linguist and formal schools instructor, with multiple overseas deployments.
Jordan has been with Asurion for nearly 10 years with various focus areas. In that span, he has helped build a SOC/Blue Team from the ground up, brought in many global capabilities, and grown the team from six employees across Nashville and Manila to over 25. As part of the capability and team growth, the Asurion C3 (Cyber Command Center) has been a proactive contributor to the Nashville security community. Asurion regularly collaborates with key vendor partners to help provide feedback and insight into product development and implementation. Jordan holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Georgia Tech, an MBA, and an M.S. in Information Security and Assurance from MTSU. In his (very little) free time, Jordan spends nearly all of his time and money and energy on his daughters. He was born and raised in Nashville, is an avid lifelong Titans fan, and loves traveling as much as possible.
Scott Small is an expert in open source & cyber intelligence research, investigations, and analysis, currently working as a Senior Analyst at The Home Depot. Scott’s prior roles focused on advising enterprises on technical & strategic applications of intelligence, and using technology to help identify & mitigate supply chain & cyber risk. Scott has published multiple projects that aggregate publicly accessible intelligence & security resources.
Robin Williams is a cyber threat intelligence and offensive security expert, currently working as Cyber Threat Intelligence Manager at The Home Depot. Robin leads a team charged with monitoring the Threat Landscape for all of North of America. Robin also leads all the Purple Team efforts as a collaborative group as part of his responsibilities. He has a background working as a security consultant and has consulted across multiple industries including banking, finance, telecommunications, and retail.
Terence Runge is an experienced security professional based in San Diego, CA. He has spent more than twenty years working in technology and is currently leading security efforts in BioTech. Previously, as Chief Information Security Officer at Reltio, he led efforts to secure a cloud native modern data management platform. Terence has held leadership positions at Blackbaud, Illumio, Salesforce and Symantec, and as a security engineer at dotcom startups Napster and LogicTier. His experience includes contributions to several open source and commercial enterprise security products. He was awarded Patents 9129132 and 9015792 for “Reporting and Management of Computer Systems and Data Sources”.
Stas Alforov serves as the Director of Research and Development for Recorded Future Payment Fraud Intelligence. He focuses on identifying and improving ways of monitoring asset portfolio exposure and effectively assists financial institutions in mitigating payment card fraud.
