Apple on Verizon: We Might Have Been Right

March 31, 2010 • Chris

Yesterday Wall Street Journal published a piece on a potential iPhone product release for Verizon (CDMA compatible). We find this pretty encouraging since in early January (nearly 3 months ago) we wrote

That could mean that it would be too early to launch a iPhone for Verizon in June (WWDC) – and would be more likely for that early September date.

and pointed at first weighting predictions in Recorded Future (landing on summer of 2010) and an insight from Apple Insider regarding launching at the typical Apple summer events – WWDC in June or in September (typically an iPod event).

Obviously remains to be seen whether this prediction holds true, but encouraging. Not just for the predictive capabilities of Recorded Future, but perhaps also for getting some better service for my iPhone!

As always – leave your comments below!

P.S. Our old prediction friend in the Apple domain, John Gruber, is skeptical of the WSJ piece as you can read here.
